Brewed on the lunar eclipse!
Make yeast starter:
Boil wort: Mash grains in 1-2 gallons water. Sparge with enough water to end with 2-3 gallons in pot. Bring to boil. String in extract and bring
to boil. Add boiling hops (2 oz. Fuggles). Boil 40 minutes. Add Irish moss in last 15 minutes. At end of boil, add aromatic hops and steep 15
minutes.
Special flavor provided by dunking of one stuffed logerhead turtle during boil. Also added a little fennel seeds to prevent hangovers (added with
Willamette hops).
Cast spent grains to the 4 winds and thanked the goddesses for a plentiful harvest moon.
